New Zealand, located across the continent of Australia, is a relatively small, rugged but very scenic and tranquil nation. Its just about three hours by plane from Australia, and has a population of around 4 million people. The countrys European settlers began to settle here in 1642, and today compose the majority of residents. The Maoris, or New Zealands indigenous people, currently compose around 11% of the total population, and the rest are either Asian or Pacific islanders. It offers one of the highest living standards in the developed world, and has a thriving agro-industrial economy. Those who wish to travel and work in this lovely part of the South Pacific may now be able to do this, through applying for a New Zealand Working Holiday Visa.

The country remains an integral part of the British Commonwealth, and has strong cultural and economic ties with the United Kingdom. In this part of the world, apple trees, sheep, kiwi fruit, olives and grapevines are common sights, and the landscape has a tranquil English countryside feel. New Zealand has three major cities. Auckland, located in the North Island, has a population of almost a million residents. Located in the North Island is the city of Wellington, which is the nations capital, and situated across the Cook Strait in South Island is Christchurch, which is the nations largest city. It has a population of 300,000 and is famous for resembling an ornate English town complete with elegant stone buildings, wide green gardens and a lovely river that cuts through the citys central commercial district

Living costs in this country are relatively lower compared to the United States or Canada; however the wages are a bit lower than those two nations. The economy here thrives around agriculture, the services sector, and the farming/mining industry. For those wishing to travel and work at the same time, the most common visa issued to these types of travelers is the New Zealand Working Holiday Visa (WHV). This work and travel visa is however, only limited to persons who live in countries that have reciprocal arrangements with New Zealand. Among the nations that have this arrangement with New Zealand are Canada, Argentina, Chile, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Ireland, France, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, USA, Uruguay and the United Kingdom.

In order to qualify for a New Zealand Working Holiday Visa, the residents of the following countries mentioned earlier need to be between 18 and 30 years old, are able to prove that they have access to sufficient funds to support themselves while in the country, do not have any dependent children with them while traveling, have not yet experienced working in New Zealand before, and can show evidence of adequate medical insurance for the duration of their visit. To legally work here, travelers also need to apply for an IRD number from the countrys Inland Revenue bureau, for taxation purposes. In order to get an IRD number, all you need to do is to download and fill up the application form from the IRD Website and send these to the New Zealand Inland Revenue office. You may also download an IRD form while overseas. In addition, some of the nations employers may require that you directly open a bank account, for the proper delivery of your salary and other temporary benefits. Although some banks here are quite wary of allowing foreigners to open a bank account, showing your working holiday visa and explaining that you are here for a year would help speed up the process.

November 5 2003–Older generation, disconcerting adventure travelers, can now experience a new style of vacation by taking a tropical holiday that takes you off the beaten path – but keeps you satisfied with your regular comforts of home.

Adventure travelers who are scared of too much adventure can now experience holidays that offer all the traditional luxuries and amenities from home, while satisfying a need to gain a lifelong experience from ones travels.

In the travel industry the term ???Adventure Tour is commonly used to describe everything from a skydiving vacation to a leisurely paddle on a lake, said said Ryan Palmer, president of LiahonaQuest. The ambiguous nature of the term has allowed for people to interpret it as they saw fit, often leaving an unstructured and unpredictable vacation with a scared or unsatisfied client.

Our trips are not – and never will be – for the adrenaline junkie. They are for people who are looking for a change from the typical all-inclusive resort type vacation, said Palmer. Our off-the-beaten track itineraries dont require hardened adventure enthusiasts to be enjoyed. Our ???Active Holidays provide travelers with a clear picture of what we really offer.

LiahonaQuest maintains special site permits, allowing off the beaten path active-travel destinations competitors cannot offer. Current trips are scheduled around one and two week itineraries with small group sizes, using unique, comfortable hotels and reliable local transportation.

Trips are built around guests developing lasting memories while exploring travel destinations without participating in an all-inclusive resort vacation environment. The prices of the one and two week trips are very competitive with all-inclusive vacations of a similar length, and consist of bilingual tour guides and quality accommodations.

About LiahonaQuest:

LiahonaQuest is an innovator in providing soft eco-adventure tourism throughout Mexico and Central America. Offering packages that cater to all budgets, acting as a source for travel guides, and a broker for off the beaten path hotel bookings, LiahonaQuest has build lasting relationships with clients and partners over its 7 years of operation throughout the Americas.br

They
have their own set of advantages. Promotional items to be used during holidays
form a special category. They are meant to expose the intended audience at a
time when they are in a relaxing mood. Penetrating the clutter of positioning
that the audience already has from about the similar product category becomes
easy during holiday mood of the clients. Research says that impression is
lasting when mind is completely stress-free. So holidays are one of the best
events to access the memory of the existing and potential consumers.

Now holidays can be categorised
into two – business holiday and private holiday. However, in both the focus
spreads to specific as well as general audience group. Business holidays for
professional are accompanied by their family members or associates. The vast
scope of promotion that lies in promotional
items for holidays is realised by online stores. The increasing demand
of business gifts for holidays by enterprises led them to come up with a
plethora of promotional gifts, especially for vacations. Their gallery has caps,
umbrellas, polo shirts, bags, bottles, cameras, games, golf gifts and
umbrellas, radios, t-shirts, torches, travel mugs, travel accessories and many
more. A wide variety under each category makes them highly sought after promotional
gifts.

All these promotional items
directed toward consumers who are holidaying are suitable to the spirit of the
time. Their appearance plays a significant role in appealing the targeted
consumers. The variegated articles mentioned fit the bill only with their
particular designs, colours and shapes. They are developed under stringent
guidance of industry trained professionals. Their designs are sleek and highly
fashionable. Now coming to colours, one can see a combination of lively colour
tones. From peppy and bright colours they range to pastels and toned-down tinges.
Furthermore, these business gifts are
easy to use, and are extremely comfortable.

With all these features, the
promotional items are efficient in showcasing the brand they represent. The
logo and different logo components imprinted on these holiday business gifts
speak for the brand image they stand for. They generate brand visibility on an
extensive scale. The people they interact with are exposed to the brand, thereby,
creating brand awareness. However, the retention is emphasised with the method
of ‘special memory articles.’ These business gifts are remembered in context to
the holiday they were being used. Therefore, they occupy a separate space in
the consumer’s consciousness. For more information on promotional items, visit online stores.

Author: Bob Leduc

Getting sales during the Holiday Season this year will be a
challenge for many businesses. The usually free-spending holiday
shoppers are likely to be more careful about what they buy and
how much they spend. And business buyers will be more reluctant
than usual to make financial commitments during the Holidays.

What can you do to get the attention of your prospective
customers and clients? And how can you get them to buy from you
during this Holiday Season?

..GIVE THEM AN IRRESISTIBLE OFFER THEY CAN’T REFUSE

Few businesses use Special Offers during the Holidays. You can
attract attention and increase your sales during the Holiday
Season by promoting Special Offers.

Make your Special Offer as attractive as you can afford. The
greater its value to customers the more sales it will generate.

Here are 5 different offers you can use for almost any product
or service.

1. SPECIAL HOLIDAY DISCOUNT: People don’t expect discounts
during the Holidays. Surprise them with an unexpected Holiday
Discount Offer. It gets attention — and motivates many
prospects to buy.

2. SPECIAL COMBINATION PRICE: Combine several products or
services for a price that’s lower than the total cost of buying
each item separately.

A combination offer increases the number of orders you get and
the size of your average sale. It increases the number of sales
by generating orders from prospects who were only “shopping
around”. It increases the size of your average sale by
motivating buyers to spend additional money to get the “good
deal” of your Special Combination Package.

3. FREE BONUS: Offer to include a free bonus with each purchase.
It doesn’t have to cost you very much so long as it has high
perceived value to your customer.

For example, I recently visited a web site offering special
interest travel books. They offered a map of any country as a
free bonus with each order. I’m sure the map cost the site owner
much less than its perceived value to the customer.

4. FREE FAST DELIVERY: People want to receive something
immediately after buying it …especially during the Holidays.
You can motivate them to buy by offering free fast delivery. For
example, a company selling personalized desk accessories offers
free overnight shipping during the Holidays.

5. BILL ME LATER or BILL MY CREDIT CARD LATER option: This offer
generates many sales you normally wouldn’t get during the
Holiday Season. It removes the customer’s concern about spending
too much money right now.

TIP: Always include a deadline for your offer. Prospects are
more likely to take immediate action when faced with the risk of
missing your offer.

ADVERTISE YOUR SPECIAL HOLIDAY OFFER

Your Holiday Offer is short-lived. So use advertising methods
that produce fast results. For example, send a brief email or
postcard announcement to your customer or prospect list. Place
online and off line ads that will run immediately after you
place them.

TIP FOR INTERNET MARKETERS: Announce your Special Holiday Offer
prominently near the top of your home page. Something as simple
as the words, Special Holiday Discount, will grab your visitor’s
attention and draw them into your web site.

Everybody wants to get a “special deal”. Most people don’t
expect to find one during the Holiday Season. Surprise them with
a Special Holiday Offer. It will motivate many hesitant
prospects to buy.

When traveling to any foreign country, you need to get an appropriate visa. There are many different visas that you can choose, depending on the reason for your visit. Recently, in more and more countries, one of the most popular visa options for foreigners to get is called a Working Holiday Visa.

A working holiday visa allows you to get employment in the country you’re visiting, so you can supplement your travel funds, and in turn, stay for longer in the country because you’re spending less money. Most working holiday visas are offered as part of a reciprocal agreement, so citizens from both countries are able to travel to the other. Most working holiday agreements are meant for younger travelers (eligible to those between eighteen and thirty years old). One of the conditions of the visa is that you are expected to bring plenty of money to live on while you’re looking for a job.

Japan was one of the first countries to commence a working holiday program, coming to an agreement with Australia at the end of 1980, and with New Zealand in 1985. Canada started a program with Japan in 1986, and South Korea and France joined in 1999, with Germany following in 2000, the UK in 2001, and Ireland and Denmark in 2007. Recently, Working holiday programs are becoming much more popular around the world, as they enable travelers to get a real global perspective and learn more about the countries they visit.

According to the visa conditions, in order to help working holiday visa holders gain the money to travel and see the country, they’re allowed to work part time or full time. This means that they need fewer savings to travel to Japan. The only restriction on the type of job they are able to do is that they’re not permitted to work in the “entertainment” industry – which includes bars / nightclubs etc.

All visa holders are required to enter Japan within a year of the visa being issued, and are granted a stay period of six months, which may be extended another six months (or even up to 18months total for Australian citizens). Only people who’ve never had a working holiday visa in Japan may obtain one, and the visa is single entry, so if you need to leave the country even only temporarily, you’ll have to get a re-entry permit before you leave.

To obtain this visa you must be a citizen of a country participating in the working visa program, and you must currently live in that country. Applicants are only able to apply within their home country, so if you’re traveling, you’ll need to return back home before you can get the visa and head to Japan. Your main purpose of visiting the country needs to be for a holiday, and you need to be between the ages of eighteen and thirty. You have to possess a valid passport, as well as a return ticket home or the money to buy one, and you must show you have reasonable funds to cover all living expenses in Japan. The minimum for a single person is two thousand dollars US, or an equivalent amount in your national currency. In some countries, you must also undertake tests to prove you are in good health, and have no criminal record.

A working holiday in Japan can be a truly rewarding experience, and is giving more and more people each year the chance to work and participate in a different culture – an experience that all say they’re extremely grateful they had.

If you’re thinking about doing a Working Holiday Japan and you meet the above eligibility requirements, try working in a Japanese resort this year – you’ll have the time of your life!
