Boating Holidays and Your Pet

Boating holidays are a great way to spend some relaxing time, but what happens if you want to take your pet? Well, there’s some good news on the pet front. Most boat-yards will allow you to take your pet onto your holiday boat.
With cruisers on the Norfolk Broads, pets can generally cruise with you at no extra cost, although the owners of canal narrowboats tend to charge for your pet. When booking your holiday, make sure your pet is allowed to travel with you. If you have more than one pet to take with you, make sure you check that both pets can go on holiday. As some holiday boats will only except one pet.
Fantastic walks your pet will love
Rivers and canals, by their very nature, tend to meander through open countryside. This gives you and your pet ample opportunity to explore the countryside. There are wonderful views you to take in, and plenty of smells for your dog too! Whether you choose to take a cruiser on the Norfolk Broads, or a narrowboat on one of the canals you’ll find plenty of walks to keep both you and your pet occupied.
One of the joys of boating holidays is that you can explore different parts of the same area. Take a nice pre-breakfast walk in one area, cruise all day, and explore an entire different area in the evening. There is certainly no chance of getting bored with the same walk.
Why not give you and your dog a nice holiday – cruise one of the Britain’s rivers on canals for that perfect relaxing break.
